There is no better feeling, that I've discovered yet atleast, than driving in the summertime, with the windows down, and the radio up. Nothing sounds sweeter to me than the woosh of the air rushing by, and the offtune singing of my friends mixing in with mine and the radio. Everything always seems to perfect in those rare moments of complete happiness. I love and cherish every second.
The random, probably stupid ramblings of an 18 year old semi-privelaged college student.

“You have four years to be irresponsible here. Relax. Work is for people with jobs. You’ll never remember class time, but you’ll remember time you wasted hanging out with your friends. So, stay out late. Go out on a Tuesday with your friends when you have a paper due Wednesday. Spend money you don’t have. Drink ’til sunrise. The work never ends, but college does…”

Day Nine:
A picture of a person who has gotten you through the most:
My best friends. I may have only met you six months ago (give or take) and I already can't imagine what I would do without you guys. My high school exsistence did not have the kind of drama where I needed to depend on girls to get through it. But apperantly, college does. So I'm thankful everyday that I have you two in my life :)

Days 6, 7, 8.
Christmas means no blog updates. so heres day 6, 7, and 8. (I totally feel like I should be at cheerleading again, counting things out in eights. fuckkkk)
Day 6: A picture of someone you'd like to trade places with for a day:
Gwenyth Paltrow: I'd be married to Chris Martin, have adorable kids (even though they have freakish names) be incredibly talented, and have an awesome wardrobe to play dress up with. This was easy.
Day 7: A picture of your most treasured item:
As cheesy as it is, I love my iPod. It's my music, my source of escape, even though thats a cliche too. I love when I can just walk around campus and be able to see everyone, but know I don't really need to talk to them unless I feel the need to take out my headphones. I like how it makes me isolated, but by choice. I'm weird, sorry.

Day two/three
A picture of you and the person you've been close with for the longest:
I'm over smiling like crazy, but I love you babysister, who is also a giant compared to me :)
A picture of the cast of your favorite TV show:
I love How I Met Your Mother. LOVE. and this is actually one of my favorite quotes from the entire series so far. It's kindof deep, but also really cool. We're just missing my beloved NPH from this picture.

Day One:
A picture of yourself, and fifteen facts about you:
1. I like taking webcam pics and leaving videos for people on facebook. I'm also a skype whore, and am always up for a nice marathon video chat.
2. I love college, and hate breaks at home.
3. I have highschool best friends, and college best friends, and their two seperate things to me.
4. My sister is the most important person in my life.
5. I think I'm funny, and always try to make jokes. It's cool if you don't want to laugh.
6. I eat constantly, and am always hungry. Four helpings in the cafe is about the perfect serving size for me.
7. I like working, and having money. Being poor blows.
8. I like buying people presents, and making others happy. I've been told I'm too much of a "fixer" because I always want to fix what's broken. Recently, Taylor told me I should start focusing on myself more, and I'm really going to try to.
9. I love Coldplay, and the Script, and Taylor Swift, and won't listen to anyone bash them.
10. I don't have a room at home, because my sister Maggie moved into my room. It's annoying that I have to be shuffled from place to place all the time.
11. I love my school, Loras College, and call it the LC, just so you know. I love every minute I spend there, and wouldn't change a minute of it so far.
12. I drink coffee or diet coke approximatley eight times a day. I know I'm addicted to caffeine, it happens.
13. I impulsivley pierced my bellybutton to kick off homecoming weekend this year. I love it.
14. I have a closet with enough clothes in it for atleast three people. My addiction to shopping is unhealthy, but benefits all of my friends since I share.
15. I'm a control freak and like to know what's going on. I hate when someone else has the upperhand, because then I can't be in control. It's a horrible quality, but it's me.

Day Twenty aka the end:
If you died tomorrow, what is one thing you would regret not doing?
I guess I would most regret not going after everything I wanted. Especially with boys, I'm very content to take the back seat, and let others be happy. I'm not what you would call a "relationship girl" and I'm fine with that now, but I feel like if I died tomorrow I would regret not finding my one true love or whatever bullshit everyone believes in.
I'd probably regret not telling everyone exactaly what I thought of them. One of my biggest dreams is to just write post-it notes of what I thnk of everyone, and leave them on everyone's doors annonomously. I think it would be awesome to get it all out there.
Most of all, I'd probably regret not seeing everyone I wanted to, and spending all of my time with people I didn't always like. I'd much rather be happy with my friends and family, then popular.

Day Nineteen:
When were the happiest days of your life?
I'd say my happiest days have been over the last few months. Basically, I'm so freakin' happy at the LC, its insane. Like, yes there's drama, there's problems, but in the end, everyone gets over it, and we all still love each other, and are there for each other.
Being away from everyone makes me realize how lucky I am to have such amazing friends, and I just really miss everyone. Its the missing everyone that makes me realize that my happiest days are the one's I'm living right now. Whoever said highschool was the best days of your life lied. Because college is awesome.
My happiest days are my bumming around with my friends days, doing nothing. I love and appreciate every minute of it <3

Day Eighteen:
What are the ten most significant memories of your life?
1. "There goes dinner!" and that whole day that goes with it. Ditto any other Kaleta/Wedlake family excursions. They basically always go down in infamy.
2. Daytona Beach Spring Break 2010. Easily the best week of my life.
3. Starting work at Oberweis, and thinking I was going to get fired, and not have any friends. So wrong.
4. Meeting Alyx and Sean picking up my bed loft at school. There's a reason we all ordered our shit late.
5. Bonding with Claire while making fizzy bath salt for the girl scouts on the second day of Launch.
6. Driving around randomly with my sister. Choose any day, they're all important to me.
7. My Grandpa's funeral. Easily my toughest day ever, and I'm proud of how strong I was. I feel like just those three days really made me grow up.
8. The summer before junior year. 85% of it was spent in the green monster, with Lauren driving, and Jer and Dan in the backseat causing a ruckus. One of my happiest times in life, easily.
9. My friday nights of second semester senior year with Dan. I don't remember all the things we talked about, but I remember really appreciating someone listening to me, and talking back.
10. The first night me and alllll of my highschool friends got drunk together. I don't actually remember a lot of it, but it's still talked about, and discussed, and referenced constantly. It was such a random ass, but good night. I loved every minute of it, and wouldn't change a thing.

Day Seventeen:
What gives you sincere happiness?
This is so easy. I'm happiest when I'm with my friends, doing nothing, but just being happy.
I love in summer time to drive with the windows down, my sunglasses on, and my hair whipping everywhere, all while listening to my friends sing along to whatever songs on the radio. It makes my heart fill up deep inside to the point where I could cry because I'm just so content.
I'm also happiest when I'm just sitting having a hardcore heart to heart with my friends at school. There's nothing better than everyone just sitting in a circle, with food in the middle, and we all share our life stories. It makes me feel so good to get along with everoyne, and just feel all the love in that tiny little dorm room.
Lastly, I'm really happy when I'm driving around with my sister, just me and her. My favorite moment over Thanksgiving break was easily when we went on a massive fast food feast, and just drove around all day, eating, and listening to Taylor Swift at a highly unreasonable volume, singing so loud it made my lungs hurt. I almost broke into tears, because I just really love just being with someone who's content to just be with me.

Day Sixteen:
What are ten goals you want to accomplish in life?
1. Graduate from college, completley content with everything I've done while I was there.
2. Work as a high school history teacher, and love every minute of it.
3. Travel to London, Paris, and Madrid.
4. Have one of the biggest, funniest, classiest weddings ever.
5. Make someone else 100% happy.
6. Buy everyone I love something expensive.
7. Sit my Dad down and get his complete life story.

Day Fifteen:
Whom do you admire the most?
I guess if there's one person I truly admire, and could never say a bad word about, its my Grandma. She's unbelievable. She's seriously young at heart, and shes' probably the sweetest lady on the planet. She takes such good care of me and my sisters, and my two little cousins, and would drop anything to help any of us. She pushes us to be better than normal, and to impress her, which I love to do.
Grandma's also unbelievably cool. She has a facebook, and uses it. I love it. She takes me shopping, and doesnt' even need me to point out things that are fashionable, she's probably already picked it out for me. I trust my Grandma's taste, and have never once received some sort of horrendous sweater, socks, or knitted item. (Grandma does knit, but its cool things, like scarfs in my school colors, or leg warmers)

My favorite story about Grandma is last year at Christmas. Every year since I can remember I've gotten underwear in my stocking from my Grandma. (Everyone gets a stocking from my grandparents, even though we've always known it isn't from Santa. I couldn't tell you why we do this, I honestly think my Grandparents just enjoy doing it.) Last year, I didn't get underwear. At dinner that night, our conversation went like this:
Me: Grandma, I gotta be honest with you, I'm a little disappointed I didn't get underwear in my stocking today. Mostly because I didn't pack any to go home in tomorrow. What the hell?
Grandma: Well darling, I don't know what kind of underwear you like. Do you like the booty shorts, do you like the cheetah print, do you like the thongs, I don't know!
She's adorable. For Valentines Day she got me underwear. Its some of the cutest underwear I have.

Day Fourteen:
Write a letter to someone important in your life:
Yes, I will always call you babysister, even though Maggie and GH are younger than you. You'll always be a baby to me, even if you are growing up. I like that you're growing up though. I can trust you to handle my big girl problems and stories and not freak out. You give me some really good advice sometimes, and really crappy advice sometimes too, but I appreciate both of them. You also have the ability to make me laugh my ass off, even when I'm angry with you. Yes, you annoy the shit out of me sometimes, but its a good annoyance.
We always keep it classy.

I hope you realize how important you are to me. You truly are my best friend, and you're easily the person I want to make most proud. I care so much that I'm a good role model for you, and that I'm someone you look up to. I love you babysister, nothing will ever change that.
Love,
Kathrinito.

Day Thirteen
What is your favorite sport?
Well. I love (loved?) cheerleading. I think it's really interesting to watch the different squads and their different routines. As someone who was a cheerleader for ten years, I also know how much work goes into a routine that only lasts two minutes. I really appreciate it.
But, I love baseball. I've never played it, or softball, I'm frankly not coordinated enough for it. But that doesn't mean I don't love it. My family has season tickets to the White Sox, and I love every minute I spend at the cell. It's one of my favorite things about summer.
